Natural ingredients in shaving & skincare
At King of Shaves we believe your skin deserves the royal treatment. This means that only the best ingredients go into our shaving and skincare products. Mother nature has, for time immemorial, provided us with an incredible array of plants, oils and minerals – so who are we to reject such gifts? That is why vegan-friendly natural ingredients form such an important part of our shaving and skincare products.

ALOE VERA

Despite its jagged edges, pointy leaves and all-round mean looking exterior, aloe vera is actually bursting with goodness and is used to soothe the body inside and out. It is most commonly used to treat rashes and burns due to its healing antibacterial properties.

Aloe vera is made up of 90% water so is great at moisturising dry skin without leaving it feeling oily. It also promotes the production of collagen in the skin, which can reduce the signs of aging such as wrinkles.

EUCALYPTUS

Not only is eucalyptus good at healing skin, it also promotes a healthy mind! As well as powerful antibacterial properties (healing wounds ulcers and burns), it is also a decongestant and stimulant.

Just the smell of King of Shaves will increase blood flow to the brain and making you more alert! I guess you could say that not only do we make you look smarter, but we also make you think smarter.

GRAPE SEED OIL

Grape seed oil forms the base to all of our shave oils. It’s ‘non-comedogenic’ which means it won't clog your pores up, helping to prevent spots and blackheads. The oil sits on top of your skin, providing a super thin but highly effective barrier between your skin and the razor, allowing for a superbly close and comfortable shave.

It can reduce the signs of ageing by restoring collagen in your skin and reducing the appearance of dark circles under the eyes. It can even help to fade scars!

TEA TREE OIL

Tea tree oil is antibacterial meaning that it can prevent cuts and grazes from your razor getting infected as well as fighting spots and acne.

It also soothes irritated skin, meaning that King of Shaves users tend to look back at the days when they would be plagued with razor burn with the same bitter-sweet nostalgia you might have for the time in your childhood where you panicked for a good hour if you swallowed an apple seed waiting for a tree to grow from your stomach. Oh the follies of youth!

SPEARMINT

Spearmint's properties are very similar to those of peppermint, but because it contains less menthol it is often considered a milder alternative, the fun younger brother if you will.

Spearmint is great for combating oily skin and acne, the refreshing ingredient closes pores, stopping bacteria from getting in. It gives a wonderfully cooling sensation and prevents swelling and irritation, so no more shaving rash, no more dry, flaky skin and no more puffy eyes in the morning!.
