King of Shaves first launched our Shaving Oil (way) back in 1993 when the environment didn’t get the focus it (rightly) does today. However, even back then, we were very proud that our small 10ml of Natural Shaving Oil could deliver more shaves than a conventional canned gel (200ml) or foam (250ml). And better shaves too (in our humble opinion).

All of this using a fraction of the packaging resources of aerosol cans and with a natural and renewable formulation. Roll forward to today and our eco credentials are still as strong – but we strive to do better...

REMOVING 6 TONNES OF PLASTIC

We recently replaced the plastic secondary packaging used on our three Shave Oils with card cartons that are responsibly sourced from an FSC certified supplier and are a mix of recycled and new fibres. We’ve also adopted the On-Pack Recycling Label (OPRL) scheme to make it easier and clearer for our customers to see how easy it is to recycle our packaging.

Replacing the plastic packaging with card-based boxes will remove 6 tonnes of plastic from the supply chain. And if customers switched from larger cans or tubes of shave prep to our Oils, even more resources would be saved!
